How to Eat Clean™ Anywhere

Embracing the Eat Clean™ principles while traveling requires a little planning, but it’s all about prioritizing your health over convenience. Think of it as taking your wellness on the road!

Pack Your Own Snacks

One of my favorite on-the-road strategies is packing my own snacks—try filling a cooler bag with nutrient-dense, easy-to-carry options like raw nuts, seeds, fresh fruit, hard boiled eggs, or homemade energy bars. These portable powerhouses will keep you satiated and energized on your journey.

Making Smart Choices at Restaurants

When dining out, don’t be shy about asking for modifications to make your meals Eat Clean™ friendly! Opt for grilled over fried, choose colorful veggies instead of heavy sides, and request dressings or sauces on the side. If a bread basket is offered, politely decline.

Staying Hydrated

Staying hydrated is key, especially when you’re on the move—carry a reusable water bottle and make it your best travel companion. Hydrating with 2-3 liters of water per day helps regulate your metabolism, keeps your skin glowing, and aids digestion.

Eating Clean When You’re Tight on Time

A busy lifestyle shouldn’t force you to compromise on nutrition! In fact, making Eating Clean a priority can help you—remember that nourishing your body is the best investment you can make for health and for life.

Save Time by Planning Ahead

Devote a few hours each week to meal prep—it’s a pro tip that makes you an Eat Clean™ winner. Having ready-to-go meals and snacks on hand will make Eating Clean any day of the week easier and will save you time in the long run.

Use My Ready-to-Go Recipes

Having a roster of quick and easy clean recipes is a lifesaver. Opt for simple meals that are easy to prepare, packed with nutrition, and taste delicious. Use my Eat Clean™ Menu for inspiration, and remember: wholesome food doesn’t have to be complicated.

Use Leftovers Effectively

Don’t underestimate the power of leftovers; they can be a time-saving treasure and transformed into completely new meals, saving both time and reducing waste. My pro tip here is to make Planned Leftovers.

Eating Clean on a Budget

Eating Clean doesn’t have to be expensive—it’s all about smart choices and knowing where and how to shop for food. Try these tips to cut down costs while continuing your commitment to healthy eating.

Shop for Seasonal and Local Produce

Support local farmers and buy seasonal produce; it’s not only more affordable, but it’s also fresher and packed with more nutrients.

Buy in Bulk

Bulk buying and proper storing are essential for saving money; invest in staples like whole grains, legumes, and nuts from the bulk section and learn to properly store them to extend their shelf life.

Prioritize Quality Over Quantity

Remember, it’s not about eating less, it’s about eating right. Prioritize quality over quantity and your body will thank you, feeling more satiated with less.
